 ‘Blue’ Period (2024)

Picasso went through his ‘Blue Period’ in 3 years (1901-04). In August of 2024. I went through my ‘Blue Period’ in 3 weeks. It started because I am lazy. Two plein air days opened up for me and so I packed a pallet of blue for both. The first day was a visit to the wonderful Hall Place, Bexley. The second was to Erith Yacht club. I was hooked and the collection of blues stayed with me for the next three weeks.

 Londscape (2022-2023)

I love the London landscape and the constantly changing skyline. “London is always different” is a quote from a favourite show of mine and it’s so true. I am drawn to the areas of the city which I know the best.

 Tracks (2022)

Beginnings (2022)

Greenwich

I have lived most of my adult life south of the river, in the borough of Greenwich. Its parks, palaces and pathways are all familiar. Though in keeping with rest of London, Greenwich is not adverse to changing its landscape. The significant changes I have witnessed is the Docklands explosion across the river and the gentrified riverside from Woolwich to Deptford. As a focus for both of these, maritime Greenwich remains largely undisturbed.
