Coming Storm (2024)

This was where the blue period really started. I loved the photograph taken at the Paris Olympics by French photographer Jerome Brouillet., I wanted to recreate it in acrylics. BUT, when I thought that I had finished the background, it had developed into a storm and sadly I sacrificed the surfer.

On the prowl (2023)

I attend an Art group with my friend Rose. We paint together and she is amongst my harshest critics. This is a result of an afternoon’s work. I like the Friday group because you go not knowing the subject and only 2 hours drawing/painting time.

Blue Door (2023)

I get my ideas from a myriad of sources. This painting was inspired by a photograph taken by a friend in the States.

Lauterbrunnen (2023)

This is another painting inspired by a photograph. It is of the Lauterbrunnen Valley in Switzerland. The original photograph was taken by my sister whilst holidaying there.
